Just center of front axle to center of rear axle. I will be making a guage to measure at comps. This will take the guess work out of it. I will also be making a tread width guage.

I have the G-made wideners on my comp tlt. I think they are .75 long. Most guys run wideners for clearance issues. Basically to get the tires away from shocks and links. They will make the truck more stable on side hills. But sometimes being to wide can be a disadvantage. It all depends on what wheels you have and how much offset they have also.

I do think the 48mm wideners are to much. I think they put to much stress on the stub axle. A 3/4" long widener is about as much as I would go personally. But that is just my preference.
