Tamiya is romoured to come out with a Land Cruiser 40 series bodied 1.9 scaler.(edit its a 2.2)

This may make it easier to run a scale class. We should definitely make sure that the rules can include the use of this vehicle. It should be affordable. And if it is TLT axle parts compatible, we all have hopups for it already.

Back to the topic of this thread;

Pictures of the vehicle with body have been released in a magazine.

http://www.ukrcrc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2150

I think this is awsome. I am looking forward to having a new platform and especially a new Toyota body (I know we have the proline one, but more is better)

BigRed, I think you were right this looks more like a 2.2 not a 1.9 like I thought.

Its definatly a 2.2, on the secand page second to last pic you can see a 1.9 sitting next to the tires. lol, thats like an FJ on 54"s

it will atleast be a good start for a scale project. some cool parts to rob. i dunno about mirrors and fender turn signals on a crawler. Def. a better body than the bushwacker.

Post 51 has the greatest picture of this truck so far.

Depending on price this is my next crawler, not for comps but to bash around with.

Maybe I even get one and paint it pink for the wife.

Both of you need to shut the hell up. Nobody wants to hear your shit. I will and can ban and limit what you post. Nobody is saying anything about starting or doing away with scale, we just haven't had one yet. It's crap like this that scares people away. If you got a FREAKING PROBLEM YOU WILL START PMing THE PERSON YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH OR HAVE YOUR POSTING PREVILAGES LIMITED.

This is such a good looking truck. Interesting idea to have a planetary gearbox.

This lexan body appears to be way more detailed then the Proline bodies.

I think that this truck will work extremely well with some 1.9 Rock Stompers. And it would be easy enough to run a lipo pack instead of the sub C packthat way you have room for a winch.

They could have taped a run where he does not hit gates. But other then that I am sold. It looks like a remake of the TLT/Hilift axle. Which is ok with me, properly shimmed that dis is plenty strong, I twisted a RC4wd axle pinion and the diff did not explode (last years 2 tranny rig).
