We signed up Max Amps this afternoon for a sponsorship deal. They are going to sponsor both the crawling and racing at the World Finals. Should be cool! So if you need to buy batteries, Please support Max Amps.

Let's see if we can sign up some more.

I found this today-looks really cool. Mobile crawling set up with 6 Axial RTR trucks with Futaba 2.4 radios for all to demo. I shot him an email. what do you think about this?:

This is good for demo purposes. I had looked at that setup as he built it. But for a comp I don't think it is a hot setup. Most true comp trucks will drive all over that thing without blinking. I do think it could be a very useful tool to get people involved in crawling. As we all know, it only takes a few minutes with a radio in hand to hook some people.

But to do a comp course I really think we need to bring in materials. We need to contact some materials companies out in that area. Maybe we could work out a rental deal on some rocks.

Signed up RC4WD today. They are sending me a care package with some goodies. Not sure what we are getting. So I guess it will be a surprise.

Ok, I promised you guys that true to our name, there are No Limit's. cheers Both RC car action and RC Driver will be running full page color promos for NL and of course they will be covering it as well!!! say it with me folks- OFF...THE...CHAIN Very Happy BrandO, keep me informed of all the sponsors and what they are doing. Also, when you sign them up, send me their logo and give me an idea of how much they are contributing.
About the portable setup, yeah it looks pretty basic, we need a bigger layout that we can have multiple trucks on at the same time. I have a few ideas.

For the crawler courses I would suggest a couple large piles of dirt. Then we can get some rocks to pile on and around the piles. That would give us a couple crawler mountains. The size of the rocks are important also. Small stuff doesn't make a good course. Larger stuff is harder to move but makes for a better course. Some large flat stuff is nice for steep climbs.

Randys father works for a large quarry. He is going to see what he can do.

Justin, RC4wd said they sent me some stuff. But untill I get it I can't tell you how much they have kicked in. I am guessing it is under the $500 minumum. I will let you know.

Max amps is on board for what we discussed. I am working on getting there logos. I will send them to you when I get them.

Some of the other contacts I made have gone cold. I am sure many people are swamped because of Christmas. I will hit it hard again after the new year.

Well I got our care package from Mike at RC4wd today. He sent us 3 complete sets of the new 2.2 Rock Stomper tires. So we will have 3 sets to give away.

Max amps is on board with some battery packs to give away.

John Holmes from Holmes Hobbies has said he is going to help us out. We are waiting until after the holidays to work out the details.

And I am waiting to work out details with CKRC crawlers. They are interested in getting involved. But just like Holmes we are waiting until after the holidays. For many of these guys this is the busy time of year. Hopefully after the holidays we can get some of these done.

So good things hapening for CRR.

Yeah, no rush. just get the word out there on all the crawling forums that you can think of, and the sponsors will hear about it. There are no exclusive deals here, so bring in anyone and everyone for crawling. Sponsors are much more interested when you say that RCCA and RCdriver will be attending, so tell them. minimum sponsorship for MT's is $500 in prizes, but for crawling, anything is welcome. I've been burned before (CEN) they said they would send 2 trucks and all that shows up is 3 banners, a radio case and 5 fuel bottles. Anyone is welcome to attend, sell, sponsor etc. My goal-make this the hotest ticket in the entire RC world- CRR is an essential part of that. AWESOME stuff!!! cant wait to meet everyone Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Yes it is Doug. I am not done yet. I plan to hit it hard again after the holidays. The course we are planning is going to be big. We will have heavy equipment to use. And with a little leg work we will have materials to build with. We plan to build a crawling mountain.

We may have to setup a work day out there to set things up. I am sure Randy will let everyone know. But we will need the clubs help to pull it off.

East coast nats! Definately! I've got the RC magazines, now I'm going to work on getting a full size 4X4 mag to cover. I'm sure they would eat it up. See how the MT engines are built, gearheads paradise!!!! MUCH more to come.

I want to give Dennis a scale truck at the event. The presentation would probably get in all of the magazines. maybe we can get a few sponsors together, to build a truck for him. Just an idea.

I need all sponsors logo's and what they are contributing by jan 3rd in order to get their logo in RCCA. We have a little more time for the RC Driver ad, and they can always sign on at any time up the the event (just won't get in the magazine ads) .

Last years event had 214 entries. With massive promotion from RCCA, RC Driver and HPI, we will have 300+entries for monster trucks for 2008. The flyer for RCCA will be listing this forum as the point of contact for the Crawling comp. So get ready for some major hits.

I have had no luck getting in touch with my Dad on getting the rocks, but I still can get rocks from the same guy I got them from for the High Speed demo. Problem is transporting them. I have a couple of friends that own and operate there own grading company but their in the mountains. I'll try getting in touch with them next weekend on a price for hauling the rocks.
