PostSubject: Help Me!   Tue 20 Nov 2007, 00:55

I'm confused, lost, and not sure what is going on here.

There is a vote for the President of our club going on right now. Am I correct?

Just who is considered to be a legitimate voter? Is it paid and up to date club members, anyone who has competed in a points paying event, anyone who has competed in a free crawl, anyone register on the board, or just anyone?

As Harold has stated there's an awful lot of new people registered, Are they members? Have they competed this year? Maybe I'm off key here, but my opinion(as a paid club member) is only paid and up to date members should be voting. I believe there's wiggle room for all that received points at a comp this year, But just anyone registered on this site? I'm sorry, but no they don't have a vote. Where's the end? Is this good for the club? What's going on here must be taken serious. We are deciding on the future of this club. Am I wrong?

Yes I registered my boys Josh and CJ along with my nephews Ricky and Dustin today to allow them the chance to vote for whoever they seem fit, and as soon as I can get Pops here I will register him and allow him to vote also. Myself, Josh and CJ are members, Pops , Ricky and Dustin have all ran at multiple comps this year.

Is anyone else concerned on who is voting and deciding on the future on our club.

Yes. It is obvious we need to be concerned about the elections. You raise great points.

Your sons recent accounts have been verified. You and your family have participated heavily in both events and board discussion.

If you will read my post in the Thread containing the Poll, i have voiced my opinion on electing officers.

As the administrator i do not feel the forum is a safe enviroment to hold such elections.

its a great place for event discussion and planning. To voice opinions of the club, and just general chit chat about he club. The actual votes should be done in a member present anonymous ballot with numbered tickets, 1 per voter. right your choice on the ticket and drop it in a jar.

I strongly urge everyone to read my post in the voting thread.

I agree with Wade and am frustrated by the process.

I should have forseen this and should have asked Randy to have a vote at the Nov 11th event, sorry , my mistake.

At my job I schedule events 3 to 4 months in advance. And I would have loved to this for the club too. But because we cannot get our stuff together here, it is not going to be possible to do things the easy way.

Randy, just be president. Good Luck.

at the Haw River. down this way this time. lol!

it is our biggest spot i think.
let's get together and have a blast guys. i think it would do all of us good to just get out and have a good time instead and kinda take a break from the comp thing and all the head aches lately on here.

we/I have fun at each event, but like i stated in above sentence,ho worries and such about trying to keep up with points and all this time. just follow the leader and so on. nothing like it to me sometimes.

and I would love to see every member at this one please. just to see how many we do have and to show some

Team Support.

we have alot of it but it would really show how proud you are to be here in this club with alot of made friends and new ones added almost each time we get together.

just my 2 pennies.

i think im gonna do an FJ40 (since im all leafs) and i'd like to stick the white nastalgic wagon wheels. Taking a note from jasoninagusta's book and doing the rusted look on the wheels. Im also thinking light grey body with dark grey primer patches. Im hoping this build is going to be my best ever. lol, im not known for good builds, so luckily my bar is pretty low, i think i'll pull this on off haha.

that may work, i can use white paint and make it crackle to get the rust effect....plus it would look like the real wheels when it peels off.

hey there

I believe that these are the ones that Unimogger buys and resells. I bough them for $70 + shipping from an Ebayer. ( I bought 3 sets and love them all).

Do you have any 1/10th scale electric offroad? My track is done. (not packed down but built)

OK good deal, if they are the same consider them sold.

I don't have a 1/10th yet but I have been eyeing the Losi XXX-T pretty hard. Maybe your track will give me an excuse to bite the bullet. Laughing

It is very small and simple, I do not drive so well.

I am waiting for my T4 to arrive any day now. I have been borrowing someone elses T4 for now.

I will try to find my camera and when Doug takes my beadlocks off his 1.9 I will take a pic.

OK man that is cool, let me know. I will be posting a few pics of my new scaler in my 1.9 Scale thread later this evening.

Drive so well? Heck man I can't even drive a crawler and they are going super slow.......Can you imagine my DA trying to drive something fast? It would get ugly very fast but I still might try it. Wink
