PostSubject: November 11th CRR Fall Event   Sun 30 Sep 2007, 23:43

Schedule for Nov 11th.

9:30 AM tech check for 2.2
Bring your truck and I will have entry forms for everyone.

10:00 courses start, you will have 2 minutes after the previous truck finishes to start your course. If you can not make it in that time frame, you will score a DNS (50 points) on that course.

When the first two courses are done, we will have a lunch. I will build the finals course and we will figure out which ten trucks get to go for the top ten spots. Point from all courses carry over.

After the 2.2 final is done, I will figure out the placings and we can start the 1.9 class. The deduction for scale points will be figured out at the start line of the first course. You must run the course with your scale gooodies if you want the points for them. All 1.9s will get to do all three courses and they will go in the order drawn on the first two and worst to best on the last course. All points count.

Please sign up by October 26th so I know what classes we are going to run and so that I can get some awards made.

General

A vehicle can only be run in one class. Each class will have 3 courses, 1st and 2nd course running order chosen at random, for the third course, best score goes last. Scores from all courses carry over to final course, final course will be limited to 10 trucks. Entry fee $5 per truck, this will go to awards and if cash is left over, it will be divided up between the winners of each class that is run.

1.9 scale has to be a vehicle resembling 1 to 1, must have bumpers or part of the chassis on leading and trailing edge (stick out further then the front edge of the tires), winching is permited at all times, each use of the winch counts as +1 point. Switching the winching point counts as a second winching, if a feature is not available as a winching point the judge of the course will hold the winching hook at a fixed point. No dig setup in scale classes. A reverse is a reverse, powerred or rolling and Stock TLT tires will be permitted.

The Scale course may include a hill climb (dirt) and optional water obsticales (you will be able to stay dry, but you may have to drive a harder line or a non progress gate)

minus points for the following;
- hard Body -5
- ladder Chassis -5
- Large scale accesory -5
- scale details such as winch, lights or scale accesories -1 per item up to -5

2.2 comp
RCCrawler rules apply

If we get rained out the following weekend would be an alternate.

If everyone wants to BBQ we can set that up, but there will not be charge for it, it will be a potluck thing, just bring something to share.

For Directions Google;

Erwin Temple Church Road
Cooleemee, North Carolina

Do you guys generally run on Sundays? I'd love to enter both 2.2 and Super in future events, but could only make Sat events.

hey there

We have had this issue before and we put it to a vote. The majority decided that Sundays work better for most.

You have enough notice, maybe you can shuffle something. Also with running scale and comp classes this will be an all day event. I hope to develope a schedule on Oct 27th after we have an idea how many people would like to compete.

The starting orders for the classes wil be generated using a random number generator before the event, people who do not sign up before oct 26 get the pleasure of going first in the reverse order that they sign up/show up. This will give us an extra hour to run trucks or a chance for people to make supper with their families.

Bummer! I don't think that I'll be able to shuffle church, though. I understand that majority rules, though. If you guys prefer meeting on Sundays, then you gotta do what's best for the club.

hey Wade;

Do you have some 1.9 tires you can put on your scale truck. I do not know anyone who has a scale 2.2 truck in our club. I really want to have one of the scale classes run, I think that it will be a ton of fun.

I am also itching to see what you are working on for a scale truck, mine will be done tonight, its a redo of my 2.2 scale powerwagon that I took to Augusta.

I am working on a 2.2 scale truck. I am working on it everyday and I have not bought tires but was looking at Junfac beadlocks and 2.2 slingers. If I could find a set of 1.9 aluminum wheels like Tony's I would run those and a set of 1.9 slingers or doctors.

I am trying to get it done so I can make it out and run but I may have a church function that day thats why I have not signed up yet.

19 days left to sign up

Thanks for those that have signed up;

The response for the 2.2 comp class is great as always. No other classes have enough entries so far.

Doug, Senilehiker and I went out to the bull hole and found one course that we have never used at our comps, that is easy enough for all our trucks. It can be a nice course 1 and we have a spot for a potential course 2 selected. The 2.2 course 3 (final) will be some new lines around the ledge.

I have not even looked at a 1.9 course because we do not have enough entries (yet).

Please sign up if you are building something for the event (I will add you to the list with a ?) and if you have something ready I will add you to the list.

Do you want the entrance fee now, or the day of the crawl? Just want to clear this up for those interested.

Thanks Tony;

I am not sure if this is permanent. I just knew we had a bunch of people that looked forward to the October event, and Brandon expressed that he just did not have any time to put another event on this year.

If I have member support I will gladly organize our club next year, but that is not up for discussion yet, Brandon and Randy are still head of the club.

Tony, if you can build another scale obstacle, like your bridge, or something else, that would help make the scale class interesting.
