My crawler has about a 14" wheelbase, TXT axles, and ~5.5" tall tires. (2.2 wheels)

Is this 2.2 comp legal?

the truck need to have a wheel base (axle nut to axle nut) of 12.5" and must be less then 12.5" wide at the widest part of the tire.

thats what I thought, guess I'll have to do some modifications if I want to compete in october.

The way it is now I'd have to compete in the super class, right? Don't think it is capable enough to be competitive in that class...

our Super class has been very relaxed, a 2.2 will do just fine.

Ok, I am coming not expecting to win, but I don't want to get demolished either.

Hopefully my moabs/RC4wd beadlocks will show up this week so I can finish making my 2.2 MAXX mashers.

I paid $75 for 4 RC4wd beadlocks, and 4 moabs, pretty good it seems like (as long as he sends them Shocked )

hey there

The club is about having fun. If you have a bad showing dont worry about it, at the last comp I was in third going into the last course and did not pay enough attention and dropped way back after the last course.

Plus the only way you will get better is to attend comps. Get togethers are great fun but you do not learn how to do better at comps without attending them.

See you at the Bull Hole

Wasn't planning on coming to the Bullhole??? When is the next time yall are heading down there? I hev never been down there, but would come sometime if I have free time.

I am planning on coming to DPG in October though.

I am going 1:1 wheeling this weekend, and HOPEFULLY I will have some tubework to do in the next couple weeks to get me some $$$

Well I got my Mashers glued, The deal fell through for the beadlocks and moabs, so I used some tires I had here to make the Maxx mashers 2.2 sized.

I've got some wheels I'm gonna use, think they might be Pede wheels? Anyways, I need one more (why I have only 3 I don't know), but with this wheel/tire setup, the outside of the tires is EXACTLY 12.5", can't beat that Smile

I'll probably make a set of shorter links for the front (probably rear too) and get it down to a 12.5" wheelbase so I can compete in the 2.2 class. Might bring both sets of links so I can compete in BOTH classes, but we'll see how it does with the 12.5" wheelbase first, I am sure it will take some getting used to. (losing almost 1.75" length, and 1" width)

Oh. Well I guess I am gonna shoot for the 2.2 class since I got the track width down to 12.5".

Was thinking of making some sort of a stick or torsion crawler and using the same axles. I have some aluminum that would work great (u-channel) but it is only 14" long. I can probably figure up something to extend it though.

Can't use the same chassis, but if I decide to, I could use the same axles correct?

Just buy yourself another set of axles (I have two sets for sale, and extra transmissions)

If I get another set of axles, it;ll be for a friend to build a rig. I can't afford to get another radio, esc, servo, whatever...

I'll just transform it into a 2.2 for this comp and see how I like it...
