Haven't been on here in awhile, but a friend of mine just opened a hobby shop in Thomasville so it's got me back into the crawlin scene.

Trying to sell my TXT crawler to scale back down to a 2.2

I like the RC4wd Diablo kit, and if I can find at least 2 other people to buy one I can get them for $100 off retail price.

Basically, to get them for $300/ea we have to order 4 of them. So post up if you would be interested. His hobby shop is Anderson R/C, phone # is 336-476-6917.

http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=850

That ...

Do we want to continue. I recently renewed the hosting for our website. But it doesn't really seem like anyone is using it. Now the domain is set to expire. Do we want or need to renew our domain name?

So here is the question, do we want to continue?

If you ask me we could get by with just a message board. If we discontinue our hosting we won't be able to keep this one the way it is. But that is not really a big issue. A new message board can be set up rather easy.

Since this stuff ...

Has anyone ever thought about doing a big comp at Tellico in Murphy NC? There are tons of rocks there with almost everything you could ever want. Me and a few other guys have been tossing around the idea of going up for a long weekend. I have been there a few times in my 1:1 wheeling days and it was awesome. I just thought I might ask if any of you might be interested in a long weekend of crawling, grilling, and maybe a little drinking.

We were most likely going to rent a cabin from Chuck ...

In fact upwards of 15-18 Slash trucks wouldn't surprise me as we have a few new guys coming up from Rock Hill and some from CRC as well. I would love to have any of you guys that would like to come. Here is a thread explaining a little more in detail.

http://queencitybashers.com/forum/index.php/topic,907.0.html

how do i make a realistic truck bed

hey guys,

i asked this on rccrawler. but it got off topic really quick. the best advise i got was to use styrine. Do any of you know if i can use balsa, that stufff can be really strong, once you cover it in epoxy. i would like it to be as realistic as possible. Oh if this changes any thing i am useing the '50s panel truck body. i would likt to incoproriate the fuel tank into my design, because thats where my electronics are.

thanks for the help.

1.9 Comp class is born

Hey all;

Losi has released the first 1.9 comp Crawler. I predict that Supers will be replaced by 2.2s and 2.2 will be replaced by 1.9s.

That being said, we might as well start a 1.9 comp Class.

I would love to run a series where 1.9s are limited to

- no dig

- 2 wheel steering

- 1.9 wheels

- 10" wheelbase

- 10" width

Anyone else share this view?

Need some help in Winston

I am new to RC's kinda. I have a crawler that was built by Ryan Gerrish out of OR. But overall I know not alot about the electronics of how everything works.

I bought a Traxxas Slash the other day and don't have a bettery or dean connectors period. Since that's what I'd rather run. I just need someone to either teach me to be able to get all that setup.

Thanks

Will

Hey guys, just wanted to drop a quick line to see how everyone is. Been trying to keep up with what's been going on, but between doctor visits, work, and home, things get hectic quick. Ain't been able to do much in the crawling world, money got tight, talk of a tumor and diabeties made me rethink getting too far from home. But that was quickly put to rest. replaced with a smaller more manageable diease, seisures. Oh well, I can take meds for that, no more headaches. All's getting back to a-b ...

What has happened to CRR?

I hate to say it. But this forum is dead. And the club seems to be weak at best. I have been away for a while. So this is just an observation. The club seems to be lacking direction and leadership. who are the leaders and where are they?
