Hello all,

Carolina Rock Runners Comp 8 is schedualed for next Sunday 8-31-08.

Rene and I posted several weeks ago about having this comp at Pilot Mnt. I'm here to anounce Next weekend 8-31-08 Comp 8 will be at Pilot Mnt. The only porblem is I have no Idea where the crawling spots are.

Help! :-) Who is planning on attending. Can any one give us some direction, or is intrested in going and can meet somewhere and take us into the good spots.

Give me some feed back guys.

Haven't been on here in awhile, but a friend of mine just opened a hobby shop in Thomasville so it's got me back into the crawlin scene.

Trying to sell my TXT crawler to scale back down to a 2.2

I like the RC4wd Diablo kit, and if I can find at least 2 other people to buy one I can get them for $100 off retail price.

Free Crawl August 10th

We have a free crawl schedualed for this comming Sunday, August 10th. There was never a site picked for the crawl. I want to suggest a free crawl or mini comp(no points) at Liberty park in Mooresville, NC. I belive Liberty Park is a place the club has crawled at befor right off Hwy 3 in Mooresville. I been by this location but never crawled there. I know its not a great local but looks decsent. Is any one intrested?

Do we want to continue. I recently renewed the hosting for our website. But it doesn't really seem like anyone is using it. Now the domain is set to expire. Do we want or need to renew our domain name?

Has anyone ever thought about doing a big comp at Tellico in Murphy NC? There are tons of rocks there with almost everything you could ever want. Me and a few other guys have been tossing around the idea of going up for a long weekend. I have been there a few times in my 1:1 wheeling days and it was awesome. I just thought I might ask if any of you might be interested in a long weekend of crawling, grilling, and maybe a little drinking.

Hey All;

Mike and I are getting some trucks ready for the Fairborn, Ohio comp. He got his axles this moring and you guys saw my truck already bounce arround at the last two comps (the one I ran in Super, not the AX10).

We have a comp scheduled for July 20th at the Dam. Mike and I will not be able to attend. It is up to Wade if he wants to put the event on. If he does put the event on, everyone needs to help as much as possible.

i have a ax10 crawler... great little truck works really good.. it has been in 2 comps.. i placed 27 in the TCS east coast championship with this truck it was my 2nd comp.. it has a hand full of playing around runs on it in my yard.. does show some rock rash.. it comes with a TQ3 has the 3rd postion switch in it for rear dig.. the truck has a home made dig unit.. works ...

So a while back i started this build but got side tracked by many other things. anyways i have decided to try and complete this build and get this thing out on the rocks!

tcs x-trail chassis

masher 2000's on axial wheels

novak engine and crawler esc

and a custom painted body(done by ftr with my add ons)

I needed the links and axles off my 2.2 scaler for nationals, but now I have a chance to rebuild it as a 1.9 for the Nov 11th event.

Here is what it used to look like

I have changed the links and orderred a bunch of new parts for it.

New modifications

- roof rack

- Canoe

- maybe light

- 1.9 beadlocks (plastic ones)

- 1.9 tires (cut moabs or Mud Slingers)

- scale accessories (toilet paper, beer, lamp, tools, fir extingusher)

hey guys,

i asked this on rccrawler. but it got off topic really quick. the best advise i got was to use styrine. Do any of you know if i can use balsa, that stufff can be really strong, once you cover it in epoxy. i would like it to be as realistic as possible. Oh if this changes any thing i am useing the '50s panel truck body. i would likt to incoproriate the fuel tank into my design, because thats where my electronics are.

Hey all;

Losi has released the first 1.9 comp Crawler. I predict that Supers will be replaced by 2.2s and 2.2 will be replaced by 1.9s.

That being said, we might as well start a 1.9 comp Class.

I would love to run a series where 1.9s are limited to

- no dig

- 2 wheel steering

- 1.9 wheels

- 10" wheelbase

- 10" width

Anyone else share this view?

I am new to RC's kinda. I have a crawler that was built by Ryan Gerrish out of OR. But overall I know not alot about the electronics of how everything works.

I bought a Traxxas Slash the other day and don't have a bettery or dean connectors period. Since that's what I'd rather run. I just need someone to either teach me to be able to get all that setup.

I hate to say it. But this forum is dead. And the club seems to be weak at best. I have been away for a while. So this is just an observation. The club seems to be lacking direction and leadership. who are the leaders and where are they?
